Filming session

The filming session was relatively more efficient than I expected thanks to the previous preparation of vital aspects such as the script and (to a lower extent) the storyboard. I decided to film in the winter holiday, having in mind the location being in Italy and not in Romania ,where I currently reside. I organised the session in advance when referring to the days it would take place and the order in which we would go to the different locations.

I filmed in 3 different days, one for the museums and centre of Rome, in this case was the exact route we would follow as well as timing was decided on the day depending on the opening and closing hours. On the other hand when taking into account Terracina, where the beach shots were filmed, this had to be done in two different days, given that we would have acces to that specific location only on Christmas. The availability of the model wasn't an issue given that we were together the entire period. I was very satisfied with the chosen locations and exhibitions given the diverse variety of elements.

In relation to the technicalities, all the footage and photographs were taken using my personal camera, a Canon 80D, which easened the process given my familiarity with it, a Vanguard Alta Pro 263AB 100 Tripod (Multi-Angle Column and SBH-100 Ball Head) as well as an iPhone X and a Nikon D90 in order to document the backstage (done by either the model and ocassionally friends present).

The model was very cooperative and clearly understood my ideas in relation to the concept of the video, altough as noticeable in ceratin clips she wasn't always comfortable with being the centre of the attention given that we were in public spaces. Initially I was worried about this aspect although it turned out to be useful when taking into account the feeling of unrest and confusion I wanted to trasmit though te chosen visuals.

In total I ended up having a wide range of footage which I had to critically analyse and decide upon a selection, which at inception was challening because of how many videos of the same scene there were but it made easier the entire process of editing and video creation. I did the same when it came to the photographs which will be included in both the website and digipack, altough this was not as difficult given that I have done it previously both for my AS coursework and preliminary tasks.

Below you will be able to find videos and photographs from the backstage.
