The reason I chose upon this arising artist, was mainly based on my preference towards this music genre as well my admiration of her as a singer who through her music and lyricism transmits strong messages as she's mentioned in various interviews

Besides my admiration and appreciation of her music and style, another factor which contributed to this choice was the way in which she represents the more undergound music scene rather than the more mainstream and commercial one which would challenge me in terms of conventions present. Altough allowing me at the same time to experiment with a wider variety of ideas.

In this case, when compared to the work done for the Foundation Portfolio, it was not necessary neither required for me to conduct a questionnaire in order to find out the demographics on the artist's audience given the various data available online.
I used websites such as Next Big Sound and her social media pages as main sources for the collection of this information.
As observable when analyzing the target audience, the audience in terms of sex is very balanced with a minimum difference in percentage, altough the male audience is more active in platforms like twitter. The vast majority of the artists listeners are American followed by Canadian and British which could be understood in relation to the language of Ama Lou's song which is english.

Furthermore it can be be said that the audience's age range is more likely to be defined by the youth given the artists indie genre and underground presence which suggests that her listeners must be more familiar with diverse online platforms such as soundcloud (her most popular one) given their underepresentation on mainstream networks and radios. This can also be concluded given the strong focus on visuals present in her videos representing contemporary trends and a particular aesthetic, commonly appreacited by younger audiences.
